It has been a busy year. 2016 has flown by; the last couple of months in particular seem to have disappeared in the briefest of flashes. My NaNoWriMo adventure in November was again successful, although I was unable to blog about the latter stages and my ultimate victory due to my website breaking. For the last few weeks I managed to get it to the point whereby visitors could access the site (albeit without any plugins working), and it was only once I was off work for Christmas that I had a chance to sit down and figure out what was wrong, tinker, and finally fix things so I can be writing this post right now. A Tale of Two WriMos: NaNoWriMo2016 and the Inner Struggle

Like the sequel to some kind of action adventure book, I find myself undertaking a new NaNoWriMo journey this year, only this time for NaNoWriMo2016, the stakes are higher, the tiredness is greater and the days are passing away faster than ever before. Will I make it to the word count in time? This sequel does have a happy beginning. Following on from the joyous climax to last year's instalment, I have self-published my first novel, The Magic of Christmas, and the sales and downloads on Amazon are encouraging and incredibly supporting to my own confidence as a writer. I still cannot really believe that on a bunch of people's Kindles sits a book written by me. A book that was largely written in a month.
